Dr. Ross Grounds grew up on the coast between Houston and Galveston in the small city of Kemah. During his high school years, he earned the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts, which forever ingrained a sense of outdoor adventure, leadership, and service.
Dr. Grounds began his academic journey at the University of Texas at Arlington, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. His time at UTA was marked by a strong dedication to learning and a passion for understanding the intricacies of life sciences.
After completing his undergraduate degree at UTA, Dr. Grounds continued his academic journey at the University of Texas Health San Antonio School of Dentistry, one of the nation’s leading institutions for dental education. Graduating with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree, his time at UT Health San Antonio instilled in them a lifelong commitment to learning and excellence in dentistry.
Dr. Grounds is a strong advocate for preventative dentistry, focusing on patient education and early intervention to promote optimal oral health. He encourages regular check-ups, thorough cleanings, and tailored treatment plans to address potential issues proactively. By partnering with his patients to prevent problems before they occur, Dr. Grounds helps ensure lasting oral health and provides peace of mind for the future.
Outside of work, Dr. Grounds has a deep love for the great outdoors, finding peace and inspiration in the natural world. Camping is one of his favorite pastimes, offering a chance to unplug, reconnect with nature, and embrace life’s simple joys. Whether it’s hiking through scenic trails, setting up camp under a canopy of stars, or sharing stories around a crackling fire, Dr. Grounds treasures the opportunity to slow down and immerse themselves in the beauty of the wilderness.
He is currently reading through the Wheel of Time series and his favorite movie is Everything Everywhere All At Once.
